I'd like to propose Outwitting History: The Amazing Adventures of a Man Who Rescued a Million Yiddish Books, by Aaron Lansky.
It's inspiring and funny, a true story about a student who travels throughout NYC at all times of the day, in any type of weather, to rescue collections of Yiddish-language books, and thereby preserving some of the only existing written forms of the language.
